Life Academy Season 2 Wraps Production

Life Academy TV Series, an educational reality show for kids and teens, has completed the filming of its highly anticipated second season. The show continues to develop and highlight one of its main missions: introducing to the audience the very practical life skills that are generally lacking in the school curriculum.

Show creator Victor Migalchan and Executive Producer Edward Cologna shared with us that this year’s mentors’ cast was very impressive, and the content method was continually changed; thus, Season 2 turned out to be a very encouraging move in the progress of the series.

The Inspiration Behind Life Academy TV Series

The concept of Life Academy came about as the creators started to notice the educational system lacked quite a few things. They didn’t want to bash the educational system, but just show that even though education gives us the basics, the most crucial parts, such as business, finance, and mental health, are rarely taught.

The idea for this show came up during the shooting of My American Family when a Stanford graduate didn’t understand basic concepts of business and finance. This situation made the team think more about the shortage of practical skills among youngsters nowadays. Moreover, prior to the pre-production of Dragon Chef and Modern Kungfu, the creator Victor Migalchan, together with Executive Producer and mentor Edward Cologna, encountered situations of parents dealing with children suffering from depression and anxiety. These instances were instrumental in initiating Life Academy, a venture that could bridge the gaps in the education system by delivering practical knowledge and guidance.

A New Approach to Education on Television

Although there are many educational shows for children, none of them focus on the wide range of practical skills needed for success in adulthood. Life Academy distinguishes itself by mixing entertainment with very valuable learning experiences. This season, the show adopted a more professional and thorough style in its content, including business, finance, physical health, martial arts, and mental wellness.

The program’s special feature is its rich mixture of life skills and media training. Season 2 saw this mixture being delivered with the assistance of industry experts, such as world-acclaimed investor and executive producer Robert Cody, celebrity chiropractor and bodybuilding champion Dr. Marwan Chahayed, celebrity esthetician Julia Luciv, world-class DJ Den Kayo, celebrity tax consultant Nick Ananyan, and world-class martial arts master Hovhannes Harutyunyan. Team producers Colleen Saftler and Joshua Price held 2 unbelievable sessions with our talented youth. These mentors gave their cast members a behind- the- scenes look at their fields, a rare chance to be taught by the best. Show creators have shared with us that, given the success of Season 2, they plan to film 2 additional episodes on the art of law with Lielle Arad, Arad Law, and on songwriting with up-and-coming singer Zere Ami.

Memorable Moments and Highlights from Season 2

Season 2 of Life Academy has been one of great impact, unforgettable transformation through the right combination of Daily wisdom teachings and Human sciences: health, finance, communication, etc. In our episodes, we continued to open the lens and spotlight the ABCs of excellence in diversified areas while bringing in a variety of fitness experts, both personal mentors and coaches in the studio and local talents who share the same developmental goals.

It was a great moment when the mentors took on the roles of talent scouts partnering with MC Dance Studio and its founder, Meera Chen. An exciting challenge was held, and the chosen talent were only given 2.5 hours to get their training and shoot a dance music video, with the help of DJ Den Kayo and choreographers. The unexpected assignment made the actors handle the situation really well, displaying their maturity and vitality.

The Role of Professional Mentors in Shaping the Cast

Life Academy professional mentors changed the cast deeply. Throughout the show, the mentors helped the cast follow a demanding training program, thus getting from them not only practical skills but also the capacity to think about their future vocations in a critical way. Such experts not only teach but also set an example, showing through their actions what the value of persistence and strong commitment is.

The cast, through mentoring, were able to transition from being novices to young professionals, able to teach the skills they acquired to others. The show’s success, consequently, points to the personal growth of the young, talented cast members, a number of whom have already started to establish themselves outside the series.

Unique Educational Sessions in Season 2

Season 2 was all about education, but with a lot more depth. The cast members were able to work with different mentors from various industries, such as business, taxes and finance, entertainment, martial arts, mental and physical health, skin care, music video and music creation, and much more in every episode. Season 2, in particular, saw the cast exploring the gold and silver markets in great detail, therefore enhancing their market analysis and investment skills.

The excellent thing about the show was that it showed practical life skills. It not only gave teenagers the idea of how to manage their money responsibly but also exposed them to other areas of life, such as mental health, healthcare, martial arts, and physical fitness.

Life Academy lead Josslyn Banh has taken a very active role in not only production, but also pre- production stages. Together with Ashley Tang and Karina Eng, they focused on the healthcare, finance, and investing front, who spent most of their time watching the markets very closely. Kimberly Tang was shown demonstrating her martial arts skills and her knowledge of healthcare, whereas Cathleen Zhang, by means of her organizational skills, helped the production process to run more smoothly on the East Coast. These young stars were quite passionate about their characters, they gave their unique viewpoints, and hence took the show up a notch. Producers of the show have also noticed a hidden gem – talent in newly cast Ryan Huang, Jonathan, and Jayden Xie

Overcoming Challenges and Creating Value

Surely it was a tough task for the actors, the coaches, and the crew to film a professional music video in just 2.5 hours at such an unbelievable speed. The contestants had not only to quickly change their methodology of working completely, but also work with the choreographers and mentors who were new to them. On the other hand, the show ended up being a great one, a lovely lesson as it highlighted the importance of teamwork and flexibility.

According to Celebrity esthetician Julia Luciv, who has been selected to serve A-list celebrity clients during prestigious events such as the Oscars and Emmys, she helped the cast with great advice on how to pursue different career areas at the same time. Her success story, starting from being a model, actress, and dancer of immigrant background to becoming a famous businesswoman, touched the cast so much that it made them ready to follow their dreams with determination.

Creating the groundwork for what’s to come

Life Academy keeps expanding, and the crew is directing their efforts at launching new seasons that will build up the original concept of the show. Season 3 is set to be a more extensive one session, as collaborations are in the pipeline that include a partnership with the Small Business Administration. Moreover, the next season is going to be all about technology and innovation, which is consistent with the creators’ current engagement in Silicon Valley. The new season coming up is going to be quite different from the previous ones.

Life Academy still maintains its core objective: to live up to the expectations of the youth by equipping them with practical life skills that will guide them well throughout their journey. Besides, professional mentors and work experience are the courses; the show is an exceptional forum for the upcoming generation to gain knowledge and skills that will make them successful and be socially responsible citizens.
