In a standout moment for audio storytelling, You Know It’s True: The Real Story of Milli Vanilli—published by The Los Angeles Tribune and Produced by Moe Rock, Parisa Rose, Giloh Morgan and Alisha Magnus-Louis—has been nominated for the 2026 Grammy Award in the Best Audio Book, Narration & Storytelling Recording category. The nomination was announced alongside this year’s full slate of contenders.

The project, written and narrated by Morvan, revisits the explosive pop-music saga of Milli Vanilli, casting the story through a lens of truth, redemption and creative reinvention. Morvan said he aimed for “the greatest redemption arc in the history of pop music,” a vision embraced by the production team and acknowledged by the Recording Academy.

This year’s nominee list in the category is stacked with heavy hitters: Dalai Lama – Meditations: The Reflections of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Kathy Garver – Elvis, Rocky & Me: The Carol Connors Story, Ketanji Brown Jackson – Lovely One: A Memoir, Trevor Noah – Into the Uncut Grass, and Morvan’s project.

By earning a nomination, The Los Angeles Tribune joins the ranks of media-publishers recognized for excellence in the storytelling audio medium. For producers Rock, Rose, Morgan and Magnus-Louis, the nod represents a crossover moment—where publishing, narrative craft and production converge in one of the industry’s most prestigious platforms.
