Simple DCP Partners with Inaugural Los Angeles Tribune International Film Festival (LATIFF)

The Los Angeles Tribune International Film Festival (LATIFF) is proud to announce a new partnership with Simple DCP, an industry leader in digital cinema solutions, for its inaugural edition this August. This exciting collaboration marks a significant milestone in LATIFF’s mission to elevate global independent cinema and empower filmmakers whose voices spark impact.

Founded in 2011 by Christopher Hiti and Garrett Sergeant, Simple DCP has been at the forefront of supporting the postproduction and exhibition needs of independent filmmakers—particularly with creating Digital Cinema Packages (DCPs) and managing print traffic for festivals. Their expertise and commitment to cinematic excellence have made them trusted partners to top-tier festivals including SXSW, Tribeca, Newport Beach, Montclair, AFI Fest, Urbanworld, HollyShorts, and Palm Springs ShortFest, among others.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Simple DCP as our official technical partner and sponsor,” said Dr. Emily Letran, Founder and President of LATIFF. “Their support ensures that our filmmakers’ work will be showcased with the highest technical integrity on a world-class platform.”

“As soon as I spoke to Chris and shared our vision, he saw the impact LATIFF is poised to make,” added Ruhi (Rohini Hak), Chair of Programming, Partnerships, and Social Impact. “Simple DCP came on board because they understood the heart behind this festival—and the powerful stories we’re bringing to light.”

As official partners and sponsors, Simple DCP will play a crucial role in LATIFF’s technical success, handling DCP conversions, content management, and providing expert support throughout the screenings held at AMC Theatres Orange 30.

This collaboration underscores LATIFF’s commitment to providing a seamless, world-class experience for filmmakers and audiences alike—bringing bold, diverse, and transformative storytelling to center stage.
