Los Angeles, CA – The Global Women’s Empowerment Network (GWEN Global) is proud to announce the upcoming 9th Annual GWEN Luminary Awards Gala, set to take place on March 9th, 2024, at the iconic Woman’s Club of Hollywood. This year’s event will honor individuals and nonprofits who are dedicated to facilitating grassroots programs and activism, with a special focus on raising awareness for mental health among survivors of Trafficking, Veterans, Foster Care, and Abuse.

Since 1903, the Woman’s Club of Hollywood has been a cornerstone of Old Hollywood’s historic legacy. This year’s glamorous “Old Hollywood” style gala will pay tribute to the Club’s rich history, which includes supporting various charitable causes for over 118 years, from the Salvation Army to Meals-On-Wheels, Veterans, and organizations like Hollygrove Orphanage and The Jeffrey Foundation for Special Needs children.

The gala evening will feature a Celebrity Red Carpet, VIP Dinner, Awards ceremony, and captivating entertainment lineup, including performances by American Idol contestant Cam Amen, Freda Payne (recipient of the GWEN Legendary Music Award), Veteran Country Artist Thom Kaz, TikTok sensation McKensie Brooke, and International Jazz performer Claude Hall.

Among the distinguished honorees at this year’s event are Freda Payne (Legendary Music Award recipient), Dani Bowman (Autism Awareness advocate from the “Love on the Spectrum” Netflix Original Series), Alex Riggs & Athena of the Children’s Rescue Alliance for Trafficked Children, and Brian Crain, President of the Orange County Mission for Veterans and Unhoused individuals. Surprise VIP guests are also expected to grace the occasion with their presence.

Tess Cacciatore, CEO/Founder of GWEN Global, will be hosting the gala and spearheading the Capital Campaign for the restoration of the Woman’s Club of Hollywood. The vision is to transform the historic venue into a modern facility equipped for film locations, fundraisers, healing events, workshops, podcast recordings, music production, filmmaking, and more, aiming to revitalize the space as a hub for the Hollywood community to come together and create positive change.

Linda Donofrio, Executive Director, expressed excitement about the event, stating, “Our March 9th gala will honor the legacy of Hollywood, past and present. We are committed to reviving this beautiful Historic Landmark to its original Old Hollywood glory and once again becoming the Heart of Hollywood with new programs and events.”
