Leadership Series Spotlight: Camille Robb

Today’s Leadership Series Spotlight is with a remarkable woman who has dedicated her life and career to helping others. Camille Robb gave us a chance to pick her brain in an interview that shows us how the mind of a heart-centered leader thinks.

Fabulous Camille Robb is the CEO of Just Fabulous Care Corp, JFC For You Inc. Mentor, Teacher, Global Speakers, Entrepreneur, Investor, and Author.

She has been an advocate for Children for over 25 years. She has the ability to care for a newborn, interact with a toddler, mentor a teenager and make the elderly smile all in one day.

She has owned and operated a student exchange program that hosted students from around the world such as China, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Australia, Japan, Congo, Sri Lanka, Peru and many more countries. She used her skills to create a secure and nurturing environment while supporting each student to achieve their educational goals.

What inspired you to start your current business?

When I came to the United States of America as an immigrant, It was so difficult for me to get help, and I remember asking strangers on how I can enroll in school, which I finally figured it out, it was very hard and confusing so I decided to provide a solution, by helping immigrants that want to come into the States to study, and I wanted to make it easier for them, generally answer their questions and provide home away from home.

 So, I started my exchange student program to give immigrants like myself that are coming into the United States of America the opportunity to learn without stress.

What is the story that inspired the name of the company?

 My grandmother gave me the name “Fabulous Camille” when I was born and I thought that name too good for me and my husband said your always saying everything is “FABULOUS” and my daughter laugh and said “yes” I have a fabulous mom, then my son said all you do with the kids is just fabulous care mom, and I looked up the word FABULOUS the meaning that I founded in the dictionary was  excellent, unbelievable, marvelous, enjoyable, pleasant, beautiful, wonderful, brilliant and I said yes just fabulous care is perfect, so I just decided to use the name, Fabulous and my family supported the choice of name and that is how we came up with Just Fabulous Care.

How has being an entrepreneur affected your life?

It has made me very flexible with my children and my family because when I was a nurse, I was working 12 to 16hrs a day I couldn’t see my children, it actually made me become more focus. And working for yourself you don’t work you don’t eat. I work for me and my family. As an entrepreneur, you have to learn to hold yourself accountable, or you will not succeed.

What motivates you?

I’m motivated by the lives of people whom God uses me to bless every day.

How do you generate new ideas?

Through the help and grace of the holy spirit, and the hunger for more because I want to do more in life for others.

What is your greatest fear, and how do you manage fear?

My greatest fear is working with people who are not real and people who want you to use you to get what they want. People who want you to work with you but not pay you. I pray and manage my fears by ensuring that I step into the right room with the right people.

What are your ideals?

My ideals in life are to ensure that I make a greater difference in the life of people, especially Children, by sowing seeds of love, feeding them, providing shelter, clothing and education to Children around the World.

How do you define success?

Success is about living my true purpose, giving hope to Children and having a positive impact on the lives of people I come across, uplifting and inspiring them to become their very best in life.

Do you believe there is some sort of pattern or formula to becoming a successful entrepreneur?

Yes, there is a pattern being very resilient, encouraged and staying focused on the task irrespective of the challenges, that we faced.

What is your favorite aspect of being an entrepreneur?

Being in charge of my own time and my own Money. 

What has been your most satisfying moment in business?

My most satisfying moment is when my Children achieved their goal of coming to study and actually graduating and able to teach what they learn. because “Each One Teach One”

What do you wish this company to accomplish within the next year?

I want my company to have 40 students from different countries holding their certificate in their hands saying “Thank you for making difference in our life”.

What do you wish this company will accomplish within the next five years?

I want the company to attract a minimum revenue of 7million dollars. So I can provide education for thousand of students around the world.

What does proper leadership look like to you, what is an example of leadership you have seen that is not proper?

Leadership is a balance between providing people with the tools they need to succeed. Proper leadership is one that is all inclusive, that is targeted at improving people lives. 

Not proper leadership is selfish, they only care about themselves. Making themselves in to small gods in people’s lives and getting rich and ripping people off. “It’s important that we don’t allow selfish behavior within our society since these leads towards an unhealthy environment.

For the aspiring entrepreneur reading this, what advice will you give?

My candid advice to any aspiring entrepreneur is: be ready to give all it takes to become the best in whatever you do. Hard work pays always, be determined to succeed and stay passionate about impacting others through your service. Provide solutions, because the world is tired of people adding more problems, we need problem solving leaders from all walks this world.

What final words do you have for all of the supporters?

My final words to the supporters will be for them to stay passionate about touching at least one life, Each One, Teach One.

Remember, we are not only planting seeds in the ground, we are planting seeds in the lives of people so that they can go out make a difference in someone else’s lives. We all can do our part and this starts with me impact in my family, my community my country and my world.

Camille Robb has been married for 29 years and has two children of her own. She has owned and operated a daycare for over 10 years. Her philosophy is to make a positive impact in each Childs life by providing a broad base of cognitive, intellectual, an emotional support. 

She has owned and operated a student exchange program that host students from around the world such as China, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Australia, Japan, Congo, Sri Lanka, Peru and many more countries.

She used her skills to create a secure and nurturing environment while supporting each student to achieve their educational goals. Her compassion to help feed the disadvantage is exhibited in her community-based food pantry program that feeds hundreds of people in the community. 

In addition, she provides toys and clothes to underprivileged children. She is a compassionate, hardworking individual who will do anything for the people in her life.
