Beta-glucans: The secret weapon for building a strong immune system

Covid-19 is surging. Propelled by the Delta variant, the rising case numbers in many parts of the country are causing fear among many people who thought we’d soon return to normalcy. Studies have shown that people who eat a Mediterranean-style diet with lots of vegetables and fish such as sardines or wild salmon show higher immune cell activity than those who ate other diets, which could be due to the high content of omega-three fatty acids in these foods.
