Happy Jewelers: Redefining Customer Service and Custom-Crafting Their Customers’ Dream Jewelry

It is often hard to rely on chain stores for upstanding and reliable customer service. Especially in the jewelry industry, where stakes are high due to high prices and the importance of a piece of jewelry, satisfaction is the most important part of a jeweler’s business model. One family-owned jewelry store in Orange County has made 100% customer satisfaction their priority, and here’s just one example of how Happy Jewelers manages to follow through on that mission.

A man in Dallas was about to experience one of the most memorable moments of his life: his engagement day. In search of the perfect ring, he contacted Happy Jewelers in Los Angeles in search of a customized ring to make his engagement even more special. However, he did so on four days’ notice. What would usually be a four-week process was expedited by Happy Jewelers, as they worked overtime to fulfill eh request while working on other clients’ pieces simultaneously.

Short on time, Happy Jewelers missed the last pickup for UPS, so, a specialist from the company personally flew the one-of-a-kind ring themselves to Dallas in time of the engagement. This is just one example of the impeccable quality of service expected when working with Happy Jewelers and its owners, brothers Gabe and Danny Arik.

“We started small, just family,” Gabe Arik shares. Gabe and Danny open Happy Jewelers back in 2000, and quickly gained respect within the Southern California jewelry industry. Setting the standard for what customer service should look like in their business, the brothers also focused on having the best manufacturing prices in order to create cutting-edge and customer-specific designs.

No matter what the cost of a product is or how detailed a request may be, Happy Jewelers is committed to providing the same amount of dedication and quality of work to each client. “We want everyone to have a happy, stress-free shopping experience, whether you’re buying a $200 piece or $200,000 piece of jewelry,” the Arik brothers share.

Over the last two decades of operation, Happy Jewelers has gone on to expand their product offerings, clientele base, and staff size. No matter how big their store gets though, the Arik brothers’ actively work to maintain that “family feeling” that was present at the beginning. Part of their expanded staff includes their spouses and children, who are now learning the ways of the Arik family business in hopes they will continue the traditions moving forward.

Recently named one of Orange County’s best jewelers, Happy Jewelers and the Arik brothers are aiming higher for the future: the best jewelry store in the nation.
