Local Los Angeles teenager, Alexander James Rodriguez is championing his high-energy single, ‘California’, to support the State of California’s come back from the pandemic.
The unsigned indie artist kicked off his ‘California to Bloom Again’ campaign over last month’s 3-day Memorial Weekend when he attended Senator Bob Archuleta’s Memorial Day event (pictured) and delighted guests with an impromptu belting performance of his single, ‘California’, which he created as the new State of California anthem.
Inspired by his own hobbies of surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding, and love of all things California, Alexander James Rodriguez’s song, ‘California’ was written and recorded in North Hollywood late last year. The accompanying music video was filmed in April and showcases some of the Golden State’s most beautiful hot spots to visit, from Venice Beach, Malibu Beach, Golden Gate Bridge to Lake Tahoe and everything in between. The teen can also be seen walking out of House of Bijan on Rodeo Drive, paying tribute to the movie, ‘Pretty Woman’ which stars Julia Roberts and Richard Gere.

Hailing from the UK, Alexander James Rodriguez juggles school, his music and acting career. It is also obvious the teenager is a positive role model on social media. Speaking in his native British accent, visitors to his Instagram page are greeted with a bright smile and charming personality.

Since launching his music career in July 2020, the teen has gone from strength to strength. In January he picked up the ‘Rising Star Award’ at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards, and only four months later he is singing to a Senator. It’s no surprise the teenager is swiftly becoming the next big thing, and we couldn’t be happier.
