Professional Basketball player Neema Namdar is from Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated from Alta High School in 2016 and took his basketball career to the next level by accepting a full-ride scholarship to D1 college Southern Utah University. He transferred to Utah State Eastern for the 2016-2017 season before moving out of state to play for Hawaii Pacific University. He played his junior and senior season there and completed school with a bachelor’s degree in Communication and International Studies.

The 6’2 combo guard has a special shooting ability and play-making skills, all while bringing a high level of energy on defense. His versatile skill set landed him a professional contract to play for the Novo Basquete Ponta Grossa in Ponta Grossa, Brazil in the league called the CBB.

His leadership attributes show on and off the court. Both an athlete and entrepreneur, Neema Namdar is the Co-founder and Owner of Powder League. Powder League is a pro-am basketball league in Salt Lake City, Utah, which occurs each summer from June to August. It is known to be a highly competitive league in which dozens of former NBA players, college hoopers, and high-profile community members compete! Current NBA players, such as Rayjon Tucker, often pull up and guest play for a game. The league provides an amazing experience for all of the fans in attendance and is something Utah basketball fans will remember for a long time. The second season of the Powder League will be starting June 14, 2021 and run until August 23rd.
