It is not the first or last time that you will hear that your mindset influences everything that you do, especially in business, and today I will tell you exactly why. Did you know that from the ages 0-7 you were programmed to be the unique person that you are today? How does that make you feel? This tends to be an eye-opener for those that are not fully aware of why they act a certain way or react to situations in the manner in which they currently do. Let me further explain…
Have you ever been faced with a decision to make and notice yourself feeling a certain way, which could be a variety of emotions ( sad, happy, angry, etc.) that don’t exactly coincide with that present moment? You then ask yourself why you are feeling that way, right? It’s because on a subconscious level, your brain already has a mechanism in place that releases emotions and reactions. You see, if there were a series of events that really made a mark in your life, they still exist on a more profound level. You are simply not aware that your mind is still playing that movie over and over, which is what is producing emotions that may not exactly match the situation that you are in. The point that this brings me to is, that you need to be aware and in control of where your mindset and emotions are rooted from. There many things that you can do to begin digging and analyzing what it is that you are truly carrying and build from there ( a subject I will soon touch on), but are you beginning to understand how this will affect you from the perspective of being an entrepreneur or business owner?
Let’s break it down:
As a business owner or entrepreneur, you have to be on your A-game. You have to be sharp and ready to make decisions on the spot without letting anything interfere or influence you to make a biased choice. My experience playing professional baseball taught me one thing that I have always taken with me, especially when it comes to business: you have to ALWAYS expect a fastball. The logic behind this is actually quite simple. If you are ready for a fastball, all you have to do is adjust. When you are not ready, you will get caught off-guard. The key here is to look at how focused you are. Where is your mind at? Are you constantly in a state of stress and a walking roller coaster of emotions? Or are you in a state of serenity, calmness, with a clear mind that will propel you to reach your maximum potential?
What I want you to understand is that the subconscious mind can limit you and you may not even realize it. A true entrepreneur knows that they can do anything, otherwise, they would not be an “entrepreneur”. If you consistently tell yourself that you will be successful and think of successful thoughts, both consciously and subconsciously, you will bring forth success. This is why taking control of your mind and programming it to have the right information is important; it generates the energy for you to succeed. Continue to exercise this thought and any time you catch yourself thinking otherwise, replace those negative doubtful thoughts, with the vision of you accomplishing everything you desire.
