Compound is an American rapper, songwriter, producer, and music manager based in Los Angeles. He discovered a passion for music growing up in Madison, Wisconsin, but he began his professional career two years ago. His connection to home is evident as he states his most outstanding achievement is “performing in my hometown live in front of 5,000 people.”
Independently navigating the industry, Compound produces some of his music and co-produces with platinum producer DJ Pain 1. With the emergence of YouTube and Beat Stars, Compound says he’ll “work with whoever got bangers.” His talent for the business side of the industry was discovered early on as he began throwing exclusive parties with established rap artists and quickly forged connections in the business. He now works with a slew of different rappers, producers, songwriters, and DJs such as Meek Mill, Ty Dolla $ign, The Game, Jim Jones, Dizze Rascal, Dr. Luke, DJ Mustard, Alex Da Kid, Scott Storch, and Araab Muzik.
This talent is on full display as Compound recently released the long-awaited EP “Cooking Class.” This collaboration project with DJ Pain 1 has amassed millions of Spotify streams and gained state-wide radio traction. It also features artists such as Big Nook Tha Great and City Rominiecki.
