DJ Rebuttal has been taking an interesting approach to music, combining aspects of productions with his voice. As a performer, the DJ tends to also sing during a live set, something not many people in his lane can say they do.
DJ Rebuttal made his debut on all streaming platforms with a pack of singles. One of the singles includes “Standards”, an R&B jam in which DJ Rebuttal reflects on a past relationship.
The track features a vibey pad based instrumental, layered underneath background percussion. The instrumental leaves enough room for DJ Rebuttal so show off his vocals. Each verse includes deep lyrics which are brought home by a climax in the hook.
