After operating in his capacity as a Telecom CEO, Dr Edward was indicted in 2018, for fraud allegations dating back to 2006. In the latter parts of 2018, he was labeled ‘guilty’ and sentenced to prison for wire fraud.
Throughout his stay in prison, Dr Johnson maintained his innocence and for many people, prison is a place of lost-hope; a place of anguish and transgression; however Dr Johnson found plenty positives within his confinement. In prison, he attended Paralegal school where he finished with a 4.0 GPA as well as attending correspondence Law School. After being immersed in the tenets of law, and still in prison, Dr Johnson managed to help, not one, not two, but dozens of inmates earn judicial relief. In fact, he was responsible for helping many inmates get their long awaited release from jail.
With this newfound knowledge in law, Dr Johnson led the fight for his freedom. Having God and the judicial knowledge on his side, the court which convicted him released him from prison.
Dr Johnson’s efforts in prison will not be forgotten anytime soon, as he evangelized to thousands of inmates, and was responsible for converting more than 100 people to Jesus Christ. In that time, as he juggled a harsh prison sentence and a court case, He did not know that his prison sentence would help others both spiritually and professionally as a Telecom Executive and Minister he provide valuable resources to inmates to help with their re-entry back into society.
Now as a free man, Dr Johnson, a husband and father of two, continues to help many people around the U.S. in a mentoring capacity. Dr. Johnson has launched his new Tech company and is finalizing his new book called “The Reset” which focuses on becoming the better version of you. This book will available in stores globally 1st quarter 2021.
