Whenever Actress Lunden De’Leon walks into her local supermarket, people thank her.
“People are coming up to me thanking me for running for Council,” says De’Leon. ”They’re telling me they’ve been praying for a change in the community and this could be it.”
Recently announcing her run for City Council in her hometown of Mullins, South Carolina, De’Leon packed her bags leaving Hollywood behind for the small tobacco town of about 5,000 people where she spends most of her time volunteering for charitable organizations that’s important to her.
“I’m running for Council because I deeply care about my community,” says De’Leon. “I came back home to give back. We have so many issues to tackle like the economy, housing and youth development but together we can put this place on the right track.”
Many fans recognize De’Leon from her appearance in over 50 movies and television shows including the Netflix film “Blackbear”, the Hallmark feel-good movie “Sweet Home Carolina”, the legal drama “Pure Justice” in which she received a best actress nomination, the blockbuster comedy “We’re the Millers” and just recently, the thriller “Broken Halos” portraying the wife of a slain police officer.
“I’ve been blessed with a lot of amazing opportunities in my acting career but nothing compares to giving back and helping change lives,” says De’Leon.
