The recent 8th Annual Australian Real Estate Business Awards was a night of records in Australia. The event known as the Academy Awards for Australian Real Estate and Business saw, James Pratt make history by Winning Australia’s Best Auctioneer Award for the second straight year, while for the prestigious event this was the first time the awards ceremony was held live and online instead of in person at a grand event, The result this year was a record audience from around the world tuning in live to watch, and for USA audiences a chance to see a familiar face in Pratt, whose already a celebrity favorite in Los Angeles take out the top award again.
Nominations for each award category were open Australia wide, and despite being a virtual event the dress code was still was Black-tie with both men and women showcasing their fashion virtually.
For fans watching they were able to watch and also interact within the virtual grand ballroom as host Vince Sorenti acted as MC on a professional sound stage along with an array beautiful and high profile presenters who were then broadcast live announcing the finalists and then the winners.
Amy Overton from New York who watched at 7am ET, loved it, I haven’t seen anything like this before. It was like watching the Emmy awards online. It was exciting to watch.
One of the most prestigious awards on the night was Australian Auctioneer of the Year, which saw James Pratt Win for the second straight year in a row.

Pratt’s auctioneer reputation and skill have been widely praised within the United States, despite real estate auctions not being a common way of selling, the Australian is a well known name within celebrity real estate in the United States especially Los Angeles, his distinguished skill has been esteemed and admired by some of the biggest names in Film, Technology and Politics.
One of Americas most high profile realtors and Fox business’s, Dolly Lenz was the first person to congratulate James on social media for winning the top award again, whilst in February James was asked to be a keynote speaker for Italk New York along with Comcast VP Shaun Levinson, Bravo TVs Ali Levine and Roc Nations Philly Freeway. In 2019 Pratt also made history conducting the Worlds First Real Estate Cryptocurrency auction.
It’s not confirmed if next years Australian Real Estate Business Awards will be held online again, however, this year’s event connected a global audience and the United States with their favorite real estate auctioneer.
