Amid Covid19 Pandemic The Elle Foundation has Stepped up for U.S. Veterans

The Louisiana based organization has built a strong and powerful reputation over the years after helping veterans with several aspects of life.

The Program :

The Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program was established to provide Housing and other related assistive help to veterans and their families at imminent risk due to a housing crisis. We work towards delivering Veteran families with benefits that promote safe and secure housing stability. It includes the provision of services like outreach, case management, aid in accessing public benefits, and interim payments to cover rent, medicines, moving costs, and security deposits.

Here are the significant areas where this program assists our veterans and their families at the risk of becoming homeless:

  • Security Deposits
  • Application Fees
  • Any Arrears/Utility/Rent
  • Rental Assistance
  • Utilities
  • Beds with Frames – No backboards
  • Starter kits, and any other items
  • Groceries
  • Prevention Services
  • Bus Tickets/Passes
  • Cell Phones &Cell Phone Bills
  • Emergency Housing Assistance/Hotel Stay

We would like to let the community know what we are able to do for our veterans and be able to reach as many veterans as possible to be able to help them during these hard times.

SSVF Success Story: I was living in my car until the Elle foundation outreach team found me and helped me. I was enrolled into the program and was assigned a great case manager. They helped me get into a place, paid my rent and utilities while I was connected with my benefits and they helped me find employment. After I was moved in, they got me groceries and connected me with the renesting project to get me furniture.

Thank you ELLE Foundation for all your help.
